Red Stick Seeks Best of the Fest Submissions for Sixth Annual Festival
Red Stick International Animation Festival, the largest animation festival in the United States, is seeking work from students, amateurs and professionals to consider for its 2010 “Best of the Fest” competition.
The festival is changing seasons for 2010, moving from the spring to the fall. Red Stick will take place Nov. 10-13, 2010, in the downtown Baton Rouge Arts District. The “Best of the Fest” competition is an annual part of festival events, and Red Stick jurists award a “Red Baton” to the top work in each category, announcing winners during the festival. Top Best of the Fest entries also are screened throughout Red Stick for audiences to enjoy.
Red Stick accepts work from students, amateurs or professionals for the Best of the Fest competition, and participants can enter in multiple categories. The festival previously was scheduled to take place in May, and Red Stick initially accepted 2010 submissions in eight categories beginning in September 2009. Anyone who submitted work during this timeframe is still entered in the competition.
Red Stick has resumed accepting Best of the Fest 2010 submissions, and will accept entries through July 1.
