-Two students in the new undergraduate concentration in computational mathematics at LSU were recently awarded NSF Graduate Research Fellowships. Rachael Keller will begin her graduate studies in Columbia University's Applied Physics and Applied Math Program in the fall, and Bruno Beltran will begin his graduate studies in Systems Biology at Stanford University in the fall.
-Susanne Brenner gave a Distinguished Research Seminar at the Missouri University of Science and Technology on April 10. She was also one of the plenary speakers at The 1st Annual Meeting of SIAM Central States Section that was held at the Missouri S&T campus on April 11-12.
-The Board of Regents approved the Digital Media Arts & Engineering Master’s Program.
-LSU Ranked 14th Best Public Animation Program in the Nation by Animation Career Review.

-Special meal requests must be approved prior to the event. In order to allow for sufficient administrative processing time, special meal requests must be submitted at least 14 business days prior to the event.
-On November 7, 2014, Governor Jindal issued Executive Order BJ 14-16 that directed executive branch agencies including higher education to cease spending in support (non-personnel) categories. In response, LSU has developed operating guidelines to meet the spirit of the order through June 30, 2015 in support of the state budget. These guidelines apply only to expenditures using State appropriated funds that are included in the University's 2014-15 Operating Budget and so identified with a zero (0) in the sixth digit of the account number.
