Abstract:
Louisiana is the top producer of oysters in the U.S. Director of the Sea Grant Oyster Research Lab John Supan presents on his lab's work, where 500 million oyster larvae are spawned each year, as well as the importance of hatcheries. He will share tips on how to enjoy oysters year-round, and his work developing a new breed of fatter, more profitable oysters.
As always, doors open at 5 p.m. for free food and networking, and the talk will start at 6 p.m. Remember, people of all ages are welcome, so please spread the word and join us for a fun and informative night!
