Abstract:
Long soft Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) are made from the death of massive stars. In this talk, I will discuss the collapsar model for the central engine of GRBs and our recent simulations of the model. I will also discuss the standard model of GRB afterglows and how numerical simulations modify the picture.
