How Can We Successfully Deploy New EOR Technologies to the Field
Wafik Beydoun, ADNOC (UAE)
Digital Media Center 1034
April 29, 2016 - 03:00 pm
Abstract:

The current environment of reduced Opex and Capex in projects provides an opportunity to improve operating processes, and get new technologies deployed in the field more efficiently and effectively. A brief presentation of the ADNOC group will be first be given. Then the presentation will highlight strategies that would increase the chance of success for moving new EOR technologies from inception to operations. These revolve around: (1) Securing a technology champion at senior management level via a robust business case; (2) Ensuring that the new technology has been screened and selected through an in-house technology qualification process (that includes laboratory work) and deemed ‘pilot-ready’, and (3) Selecting technology partners with complementing competencies to collaborate on piloting the new technology, that are aligned in sharing risks, rewards and intellectual property considerations.
