Abstract: HPC at LSU is offering an introductory workshop covering the HPC environment of IBM Power5 and Linux machines at LSU and LONI, basic operating system commands, introduction to Parallel Computing, introduction to MPI and advanced MPI, and optimization of your code. This workshop will be a two day workshop introducing the user to: January 25: Overview of HPC at LSU and LONI; HPC Hardware Overview; Introduction to Parallel Computing; Accounts and Allocations; Introduction to Unix/Linux; IBM Power5 Programming Environment--Pelican and LONI P5 systems; Linux Programming Environment--SuperMike, Tezpur, and LONI Linux systems January 26: Introduction to MPI; Advanced MPI; Compilers and Optimizations on Linux systems; Compilers and Optimizations on AIX systems; Profiling and Debugging |
