Evolution of Axisymmetric Galaxy Cores Embedding Black Holes - A GPU Application

Abstract:
NBody realizations of axisymmetric collisional galaxy cores (e.g. M32, M33, NGC205, Milky Way) are presented. We approach evolution of single and binary black holes embedded in the cores of galaxies, and analyze stellar tidal disruption. We show that secular gravitational instabilities dominate the initial dynamics, while the black hole is small and growing due to consumption of stars. Our results show that central rotation in galaxies can not be neglected for relaxed systems. Our simulations were performed in different GPU clusters around the world.
