Santiago graduated from University Blas Pascal in Argentina with a degree in Telecommunications Engineering. He earned an M.S. in Physics from the University of Texas at Brownsville and recently completed his second master's degree in Systems Science at Louisiana State University under the supervision of Dr. Gabrielle Allen, performing research on Grid Computing.
Santiago also worked at LSU as Program Manager for the ParalleX Group. ParalleX is a revolutionary computational model created by Dr. Thomas Sterling to address the key challenges of efficiency, scalability, sustained performance, and power consumption with respect to the limitations of conventional programming practices.
Currently, Santiago is a graduate assistant at the Center for Computation & Technology at LSU pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems and Decision Sciences under the supervision of Rudy Hirschheim. His research interests include IT Governance of Outsourcing arrangements, management fashions, SOA management, business, and the application of Grid technologies to business.
