After working for several years at the Max-Planck-Institute for Gravitational Physics (AEI) in Potsdam, Germany, Ian moved to Baton Rouge (LA) in the Autumn of 2003 to take a position at the newly created center here, LSU CCT (aka LSU CAPITAL). During his time working at the AEI in Germany, Ian held many development positions: Lead Architecture and web-developer for an online reviewed journal, Living Reviews; Applications developer for the Cactus Computational Toolkit; and Research Programmer for the GridLab project.

Oliver holds joint positions at both the Max-Planck-Institute for Gravitational Physics (AEI) in Potsdam, Germany and at Louisiana State University. He is one of the primary developers of the Gridsphere Portal Framework, which is a primary part of the European GridLab project.

Prats is currently a graduate student doing her Masters in Electrical Engineering. She is interested in the area of VLSI, Grid Computing and Portals. Prats is currently working on the HPC Portal project with Archit. She is implementing the Portal interface to the GPIR Service to display machine information. She is also working on her Masters Thesis "GridSpice - A Portal Application for Grid based Circuit Design" under Dr. Gabrielle Allen and Dr. Ashok Srivastava.

Chongjie is a graduate student in computer science pursuing his PhD with a focus in Grid technologies and distributed computing. Presently he is working on developing Portlets collaborating with the SCOOP project to allow for application specific job submission and tracking. Chongjie is also investigating new portal technologies such as WSRP.

Alex has just graduated from secondary school and plans on attending Louisiana State University in fall 2004 where he will major in computer science. His main area of research interest lies in distributed processing, more specifically on massive scale computing that utilizes multiple platforms. Alex began working in the CCT Portals group in October 2003 and is currently programming the main servlet for the PIM project.

Joseph is currently pursuing his MS degree in Industrial Engineering at LSU. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from M A College of Engineering (Kerala, India), Joseph worked with Vananburg R & D for 2 years. There he was involved with the portals team which built a web-service based framework for real-time business performance monitoring and management.
