It’s more proof that Baton Rouge is on the front end of an emerging industry. Emily Hoppe, an animation marketing and publicity professional with Walt Disney Feature Animation, will explain the city’s ongoing relationship with Disney as well as the Louisiana-set feature film, The Princess and the Frog. Catch her talk at the Inaugural Red Stick Ink & Paint Club Luncheon from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday at the Heidelberg Ballroom of the Hilton downtown. Hosted by the Red Stick International Animation Festival organizers, the luncheon centers on the festival’s economic development benefits and teaches business people how to participate in the festival, which is set for April 22-25. Tickets to the luncheon are $10 per person. Register in advance by calling 389-7182 or e-mailing amoody@cct.lsu.edu.
