CCT Faculty Associate Professor Thomas Sterling co-authored a paper that recently won “best paper award” at the 10th High Performance Embedded Computing Workshop. The paper was titled Our “Spaceborne Processor Array in Multifunctional Structure” (SPAMS). Other authors included Ed Chow, William D. Whitaker, and Don Schatzel. According to Ed Chow, this is a who’s who conference in this field, with submissions from representatives of most of the premiere research centers in the country.
Based on the rankings of a panel of 50 reviewers, the SPAMS paper was first selected as one of four Outstanding Submission Papers. These four finalists then made presentations at the award session, after which all attendees voted to select the best paper.
