Carlos Palenzuela, a post-doctoral researcher in physics and astronomy at LSU and the Center for Computation & Technology, celebrated the publication of his first book, “Elements of Numerical Relativity: From Einstein’s Equations to Black Hole Simulations.” The book, which Palenzuela co-authored with Carles Bona from the University of Balearic Islands, provides basic foundation and insight into the growing field of numerical relativity. The book develops guidelines from the most basic aspects of numerical relativity to provide a base for graduate students and non-specialists hoping to enter the field.
