The Red Stick International Animation Festival will be the first in the country to screen Disney’s new feature film “Tangled,” Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. The screening will be held at the Rave Theater at the Mall of Louisiana.

The story is about the relationship between spunky Rapunzel, who has lived her life isolated in a tower, and Flynn Rider, a charming thief who decides to hide out there to escape arrest.

The film’s animation supervisor, Clay Kaytis, will be at the event to talk about the film and answer questions about Disney’s new release. The film opens nationwide on Thanksgiving Day.

The film premieres as the kickoff event of the Red Stick International Animation. A number of prizes will also be given away at the screening. Attendees must be festival pass holders and have registered for the event in order to guarantee seating.

LSU’s Center for Computation & Technology sponsors the Red Stick International Animation Festival in partnership with the East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President’s Office, Louisiana Technology Park, Baton Rouge Area Chamber and Baton Rouge Area Digital Industries Consortium.
