Employment Opportunities at CCT
The Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) is an interdisciplinary research center on the LSU campus, where representatives from all areas of academics work with the high-performance computing resources available on campus to advance breakthroughs.
CCT recruits professors and researchers from all disciplines, from physics and computer science to art, music and design. All CCT faculty hold joint appointments with other academic departments on LSU's campus.
Currently, the center is aggressively developing research groups to focus on application disciplines such as astrophysics, applied mathematics, fluid dynamics, music, nanotechnologies and sensor networks. Examples of other areas in which faculty are being recruited from include grid computing, visualization, collaborative environments and software frameworks, as well as in materials and biocomputing.
CCT staff conduct research using resources including supercomputers, access to the LONI network, a high-speed, fiber optics network that connects supercomputers at major research institutions throughout the state and the option to participate in international grid computing projects, such as the Open Science Grid, Grid Chem and others.
If your research focuses on any of these areas, or if you are interested in getting involved in one of these areas, please contact CCT to learn more about future employment and recruitment opportunities.
All CCT employees are employees of Louisiana State University and the State of Louisiana. Please visit the LSU Human Resource Management Web site at http://appl003.lsu.edu/hrm/hrmweb.nsf/index to learn more about the benefits available to CCT employees.
