This report describes the remote visualization demonstration presented at the Supercomputing 2008 conference in Austin, Texas. Different scenarios for remote visualization are described, leading to the preferred situation for improved data transfer where a temporary distributed data server is used along with a separate rendering cluster. The demonstration includes visualization of an 2 Gbyte data set using GPU rendering with Equalizer.
